Capture the feeling of having a family ranch when you gather together in our Habari Guest House. With 5 bedrooms, over 900 acres to wander in wonder, there's plenty of space to enjoy each other's company! The floor plan makes this a great house to have a large group that can gather together and have privacy. Hike the over 20 miles of hiking trails, fish for large mouth bass and catfish in the stock pond right next to the house, and visit the goats, pigs, and Farm Store

The Habari guest house is a ranch style 5 bedroom, 2 bath house located at High Hope Ranch. Habari sleeps up to 10 guests. Extra guests are welcome with a fee. Bedroom 1: Queen bed Bedroom 2: Queen bed Bedroom 3: Twin bed, Twin bunk bed (3 total beds) Bedroom 4: Queen bed Bedroom 5: Queen bed, full-sized crib There is also one futon in the living space for extra sleeping arrangements if needed. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a bright dining room open to the living room with a cozy fireplace, and two spacious front porch/outdoor dining and sitting areas. The ranch itself has over 20 miles of hiking trails from easy to strenuous effort. We offer petting zoo style goat feedings where you and your guests can feed, pet, and learn more about the livestock on ranch. Our Farm Store is NOW OPEN! Purchase ranch raised meats like beef, pork, and goat meat, canned goods straight from the garden like jams, jellies, pickles, salsa, and more! We also have a curated line of botanical infused skincare and other lovely products to shop! Contact Brandi to schedule an appointment. Ranch-wide WIFI is FREE! Retreat space, conference space, wedding venue, yoga studio, and additional facilities are available- please inquire for more information. We have four other guest houses on ranch so be sure to check them out- Kasa Casa (2br 1.5b) Mwalimu (4br 4b) Mata Zamo (sleeps up to 8) and Huruma (3br 2.5b) The ranch is owned by a nonprofit and is a wildlife sanctuary, by staying with us you are making a difference and helping support our mission. Play a round on our brand-new 9-hole disc golf course, Warbler Trails, designed to wind through the scenic landscape. Don’t have discs? No problem — we have them available at the Farm Store. Stroll through our seasonal You Pick 'Em Flower Garden, bursting with colorful blooms all summer long. Guests are welcome to cut their own fresh bouquet to enjoy during their stay or take home. Limited to seasonal availability- March/April- October/November.

Other Details to Note

Livestock (including cattle, chickens, pigs, goats, and the guard donkey, Zoey) roam the ranch. We ask kindly that you not approach the cattle or chickens, but the rest are all very keen on head scratches and pets! Chances are you'll see deer, armadillos, and lots of wild birds. We sometimes see other native wildlife like such as quail, turkey, coyote, feral hogs, fox and bobcats. There have been some rare sightings of mountain lion in the past but as long as you are aware and prepared it’s nothing to worry about. Lastly, we are in the Texas hill country where rattle snakes and copperheads live. They are easy to avoid as long as you are aware. If spotted up by a house, please contact the host so that we can safely remove them for you!

House Rules

The posted rate is for 10 guests. We ask an extra guest fee of $25 per night, per guest over 10. Please let us know how many people will be staying so we can accommodate you. As a wildlife sanctuary we ask that you respect quiet hours between 10pm and 6am. All guests must sign a risk release form before or upon arrival. Our houses are all non-smoking, however we have ashtrays outside on the patios. If you are a smoker, please do so outside and dispose of your butts in the ashtrays!

High Hope Ranch is located south west of the small town Glen Rose. We are in the country with miles in-between us and our neighbors, one of which happens to be Fossil Rim Safari Park. It's secluded enough here to be able to see the Milky Way at night but close enough to town that you can grab the essentials in 15 or so minutes. There are a few residents who live and work on the ranch you may bump into but if you are seeking total privacy you can easily achieve that as well.

Guest Access

Habari is within High Hope Ranch, a 1000 acre ranch that shares a fence line with Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Guests have access to all 1000 acres of the ranch including landmarks like the Stone Circle, Star Pad, Goat Cave, Sunset Cliff, and are of course welcome to arrange a tour to visit the working Farm on property. Guests have full access to Habari House and all hiking trails. Guests are welcome to rent our studio or other houses for their private use such as weddings, retreats, and more.

Great host at a great location! Property is convenient to all the attractions at Glen Rose, plus a beautiful property with great trails and friendly farm animals. House is well stocked with anything you need. Brandi was super responsive and we had a great time.

Brandi was an amazing host, the house was perfect for our trip, and the location was beautiful. It is close enough to fun things that you aren’t wasting a ton of time getting from place to place, but still far enough out that you feel like you have miles and miles of Texas to yourself. The house had everything we needed, the farm animals provided fun entertainment for the kids, and a visit from one of the ranch dogs was a welcome break for a quick game of fetch. We will definitely look to see if Brandi has the house available for our next trip.

The BEST. We had 3 families come together under 1 roof and a million stars!! The goats & hogs/pigs coming to the house was so much fun, I want to say especially for the kids, buuuuut I think us adults enjoyed it even more!! Brandi and Robert were great hosts, the farm store has lots to offer, and the property is HUGE and amazing, God is good!! <3

Fantastic stay! Feeding the goats was such a fun activity, and there’s so much to do on the property. Zoey the guard donkey melted our hearts! Owners were extremely friendly, accommodating, and communicative.

This is a great stay just a bit out from Glen Rose. It is a very spacious house with plenty of beds. The drive out to the ranch was also scenic. The stay was exactly as described!

We had an unforgettable stay at Habari House. Brandi was incredibly responsive and helpful- she is an excellent host. We all loved Habari House- it is the perfect place to drop in deep and experience the relaxing power of nature. There is a wonderful living room with books and board games. Sitting on the great porch, we enjoyed the sound of birds and the view of a peaceful pond. The spring wildflowers were abundant and my children enjoyed finding ladybugs, mushrooms, dragonflies, and a seeing all kinds of birds from the house Thank you Brandi, we had a wonderful time!!!

Find us

There are two airport shuttles that will pick you up and take you back to DFW or Love Field. The Transit Company (Somervell County) and The Airport Service - Granbury. We can provide contact information for these services after you book! While you can get a ride service from any city to here, there are no drivers available to take you back! We will provide map pin directions to guests once the reservation is confirmed. There is, unfortunately, no public transportation! Our driveways are gravel and well maintained.
